COVID-19 Protection Framework

How we’re operating in the COVID-19 Protection Framework (Traffic Light System).

What the traffic light system means for us

Mt. Cook Glacier Guiding is getting ready for summer and we want everyone to feel safe while visiting us.

The New Zealand Government has announced that on 3 December 2021, the country will move into its COVID-19 Protection Framework, or the traffic light system. Under this framework, businesses who only welcome vaccinated visitors can operate as freely as possible.

We can remain OPEN at each traffic light setting by following these extra safety measures.

All visitors to Mt. Cook Glacier Guiding MUST:

  1. Be double-vaccinated (for those aged over 12) and show their government ‘My Vaccine Pass’ on arrival.
  2. Sanitise their hands and sign in using the NZ COVID Tracer App.
  3. Wear a mask in all indoor areas – including reception, our boot room, and inside the helicopter/ski plane.
  4. Comply with any additional public health measures (including social distancing) that are in place at the time of your visit.

We look forward to seeing you in Mt. Cook!
