It is our pleasure to guide you on a thrilling experience and be part of your alpine adventure in one of the most visually stunning parts of New Zealand.

No experience is required. All you need to enjoy your time on the glacier is warm clothing, sun protection, snacks to keep you energised, and a sense for adventure! We’ll provide you with the necessary outerwear, boots, crampons, and technical equipment. Our highly experienced guides will get you up close to impressive ice formations and safely lead you across the glacier.

Tasman Glacier Heli Hike


Combine the excitement of walking on New Zealand’s biggest glacier, the Tasman Glacier, with the thrill of breathtaking scenic helicopter flight and spectacular views of New Zealand’s highest mountain, Aoraki Mt Cook. You will fly in to your drop off point on a remote part of the glacier. Once your crampons or snowshoes are fitted you’ll go exploring the amazing ice formations, following your guide as they cut steps in the glacier, using skills handed down from NZ’s mountain pioneers.

Explore the immense beauty of the upper snowfield of the Haupapa/Tasman Glacier, this is where its 23-kilometre journey begins.

As you fly in to 2200 metres (7200 ft.) aboard your ski plane, marvel at the rock and ice debris transform to glistening white. You may even see an iceberg in the glacier lake! Then get ready to explore the glacier by walking, hiking and snowshoeing.
