Your safety is paramount

The Aoraki/Mt Cook National Park is a beautiful and natural environment. It is an area where the dramatic forces of nature are at their most spectacular, and as such, it demands respect and an acknowledgement of the risks to all visitors.

At Mt Cook Glacier Guiding, we take your safety very seriously. Our safety policies and procedures ensure that to the best of our ability, we keep you safe, maximising your enjoyment of the park and delivering you back to our Aoraki/Mt Cook base with great memories.

nzmga_logo_web_72-dpiProfessional guiding is our business, and we love it.  All Mt Cook Glacier Guiding Guides are constantly being reviewed and assessed internally to ensure their knowledge is up to date, and their guiding practices are of the highest quality.  Every guide, from our most seasoned to our newest guides, is subject to this. We never take safety for granted.

Our guides are either fully qualified, or in training for Hard Ice Guide and Alpine Trekking Guide certifications through the internationally recognised New Zealand Mountain Guides Association.
